The long wait is over – well, almost over. Yesterday we’ve updated our trial environment with version 3.0 of the FOEX Plugin Framework.
I won’t get into a lot of details about technical features or functionality, but what I would like to highlight that FOEX 3.0:
offers an improved UI – just because your web apps need great functionality doesn’t mean they don’t need to offer a great user experience as well (just check the image on the right side of this page)
introduces touch screen device support – because even for enterprise applications responsive is a requirement, no longer just a nice to have
makes your grids great again – I’m joking, or am I? Signup for a trial and find out yourselves!
adds new themes (Triton, Aria)
upgrades from Ext JS 4.2 to Ext JS 6.2 – so you can now use all the latest improvements that Sencha brought to Ext JS
But this release is about more than just a software upgrade. We’ve introduced a new support portal for our partners and customers.
We’re also updating our documentation application (yes, it also means that we’re working on new & simplified demos), our developer guides, partner materials, website and will launch a new service to support our users (more on that in a later blog post).
All in all it’s a team effort and with the pre-launch of FOEX 3.0 yesterday we’re getting one step closer to our goal to: provide a declarative RAD tool for building complex business applications in Oracle APEX.
